Also, we use cookies in order to optimize our website and its functionality, to give you the best possible shopping experience. Some cookies are needed for the proper functioning of the website, e.g. in order to add items to the shopping cart and complete checkout. Other cookies are used for analytics purposes such as Google Analytics, in order to keep statistics pertaining to the use of the website.

Below, find out more about cookies and how you can control them.

This site, like many others, uses small files called cookies to help us customize your experience. A cookie is a small text file that is stored by the browser on your device when you visit a website.  They allow websites to store things like user preferences. You can think of cookies as providing a ‘memory’ for the website, so that it can recognize you when you come back and respond appropriately.

If you do not want cookies to be used, you can disable them from your web browser’s Settings tab (visit your browser’s Help page for more information). You can also delete cookies in your web browser which have been stored from previously visited websites.

By using our website and/or by accepting our Privacy Policy, you are agreeing to the use of cookies. Please note that if you choose not to accept cookies, you will not be able to purchase items from our store.

WooCommerce Cookies

In order for basic functionality of the site to work our e-commerce platform makes use of 3 cookies:

  • woocommerce_cart_hash
  • woocommerce_items_in_cart
  • wp_woocommerce_session_

The first two cookies contain information about the cart as a whole and helps WooCommerce know when the cart data changes. The final cookie (wp_woocommerce_session_) contains a unique code for each customer so that it knows where to find the cart data in the database for each customer. No personal information is stored within these cookies.

We use Google Analytics, which help us understand how and when you first visited our site, the frequency of your visits and the duration of time spent on our site. We anonymize IP and transaction-ID.

Who we share your data with

All transactions are processed through Paypal and are subject to the Paypal Privacy Policy. We use third party couriers to deliver your order and will need to share your contact information with them for this purpose. We use Google Analytics for statistical purposes. For more information on how Google collects, shares, and uses your information, click here.

How long we retain your data

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
